The leather Curb Strap attaches to the bridle bit bit with a buckle fastenings. There are 6 holes for adjustment. Maximum length 9.25" / 23cm.
A curb strap, also called a curb chain, is a piece of tack used with a curb bit to stabilise the bit in the horse's mouth, distribute pressure evenly across the chin, and provide additional control by acting as a leverage point when the reins are pulled, essentially enhancing the bit's action and helping the horse respond to rider cues; it's primarily used to prevent the bit from rotating too far in the horse's mouth, which can be uncomfortable for the horse.
