Rope Halters
Description
Our natural rope halters are meticulously hand-tied by experts using a 6mm, 100% polyester braid on braid rope, with knots strategically balanced. The loop to attach lead ropes hangs below the horse's jaw, acting as a hinge. Crafted from high-quality rope, these halters offer the perfect blend of softness and strength, making them ideal for natural horsemanship training. They are thin enough to discourage the horse from leaning on them yet soft enough to provide comfort when yielding from their own pressure.

The rope we use is 100% polyester rope, a superior choice over the typical nylon yachting rope. Nylon rope stretches and can become stiff with use, absorbing moisture and increasing in thickness. Polyester rope, on the other hand, maintains its original form, making it perfect for everyday horsemanship use. Our rope halters do not cause pressure, and the knots do not affect the nerves on the nose. They are trusted by top clinicians for everyday use and groundwork.
Fitting:
Measure the nose circumference in the same place a cavesson noseband would sit. As a general rule the halters fit as follows:
YEARLING: Small ponies, Yearlings, Shetlands 21” noseband circumference.
ARAB: Petite Egyptian Arabs with a tea-cup nose, Quarter Horses, Yearlings, some ponies. Generally horses 13 hh - 14.2 hh/24" noseband circumference.
HORSE/STANDARD: Cobs, also ideal for native breeds. Generally horses 14 hh - 16 hh/27" noseband circumference.
WARMBLOOD: Full size 16.1 hh - 17.1 hh/30" noseband circumference.
DRAFT: For heavy horses 17.1 hh+/31.5" noseband circumference.
